Carson Group’s first chief technology officer has departed from this role, a spokesperson for the Omaha, Nebraska-based registered investment advisory firm told ThinkAdvisor on Friday.
The RIA declined to state when former CTO Nimesh Patel left the company. But the firm made the decision to part ways with Patel as part of a realignment in the firm’s leadership, according to the spokesperson.
“Carson Group has grown significantly in the last several years,” she told ThinkAdvisor. “We now manage $28 [billion] in assets and serve more than 46,000 families who are supported by our network of more than 140 advisor partners. As that growth continues, it became important to align our organizational design with the evolving needs of the business.”
The spokesperson explained that Carson Group “… made leadership team moves to ensure we have the right team structure to support our advisors and their clients. This new leadership team structure better aligns the growth side of the business with the operational side of the business.”
As for what’s next for the CTO role, Chief Strategy Officer Burt White “will lead the product strategy for Carson Group at this time,” she said.
“We have strong leaders within our tech team that have deep experience leading our technology, data and product strategy efforts,” the spokesperson explained. “We are confident that this team will continue to deliver industry-leading technology to our advisors and their clients.”
