LUMINARIES 2023 Nominations Portal Open
ThinkAdvisor's recognition program is accepting nominations through April 18. There's no cost to participate.
ThinkAdvisor’s pioneering recognition program — the LUMINARIES — is now accepting nominations for 2023. Now in its third year, the LUMINARIES awards celebrate the achievements of top advisors, industry executives, teams, RIAs, broker-dealers, asset and investment managers, technology providers and other firms in four key areas:
- Executive Leadership
- Thought Leadership & Education
- Community Impact/DEI
- Financial & Investment Innovation
Nominations are being accepted online through April 18, and there is no cost to participate in the LUMINARIES. Finalists will be announced this summer, and winners will be honored on stage at our Nov. 16 gala in New York City.
As in 2021 and 2022, the program and its related coverage will shine a spotlight on the quantitative and qualitative impacts that ThinkAdvisor LUMINARIES are making on the industry, for both today’s and tomorrow’s advisors. We will also highlight the bold steps the winners are taking to drive the wealth, investment and retirement industry forward in more dynamic and inclusive ways.
The program is not meant to emphasize asset levels or rankings — or the latest industry buzz. Rather, our awards and coverage of the winners will tell the stories of how top-performing industry participants are producing meaningful results in the areas that matter most to advisors.

In 2023, ThinkAdvisor will be accepting nominations for the new Financial & Investment Innovation category, which will honor individuals and firms leading the creation of new financial products, services and processes that meet advisors’ and investors’ needs while delivering efficiency and competitive advantages to industry players via new platforms and other tools.
Ideal candidates in this category have brought new products, services and processes to market that give their firms additional revenue streams and, at the same time, result in strong user satisfaction and retention.
“By nature, the business is competitive, and that competitiveness includes innovation and striving for better experiences and better benefits for the clients we serve. Industry awards like the LUMINARIES create a sense of competition around things that are meaningfully beneficial to clients and investors, as opposed to awards for the most profitable firms,” said David Knoch, CEO of Docupace Technologies and a 2021 LUMINARIES winner for executive leadership.
Information about last year’s finalists and winners is available online.
Members of the financial services industry should complete nominations in the executive leadership; thought leadership and education; community impact/DEI; and financial & investment innovation by April 18 on the LUMINARIES portal.
